Kopytek Inc. Announces Expansion into Commercial Envelope Market
Published: Mar 14th, 2008
March 14, 2008: ST. LOUIS, MO – Kopytek, Inc. of Overland has announced a contract agreement with Halm, Inc. of Chicago, IL to provide Halm Jet press equipment for commercial envelope print production purposes.
According to Kopytek CEO John Peterson, the St. Louis marketplace has a significant need for a high-quality, quick-turn envelope printer. “Even though we’ve always supplied this service,” he said, “our association with Halm Jet will allow us to produce extremely high quantities in increasingly shorter periods of time. This equipment installation gives us the capability to print 1,000,000 envelopes in 24 hours. Suffice it to say we’re ecstatic to be affiliated with a world leader like Halm.”
Kopytek anticipates its expansion into the wholesale market will expand this already growing market segment. “So much of this business has been forced to leave the St. Louis metro area because clients have been unable to procure product here in a timely fashion,” added Peterson. “We believe our agreement with Halm will have a considerable impact on those businesses needing to purchase locally due to speed and freight considerations.”
Brent McCoy, National Sales Manager for Halm, expects Kopytek to be installed with Halm equipment by second quarter 2008, shortly after the company relocates to its new corporate headquarters at 9595 Dielman Rock Industrial Court in Olivette. The company projects to more than double its operating environment with its new $2.4 million, 20,000 square foot office, production and warehousing facility. In conjunction with the company’s current operations in Overland, Kopytek will also add an additional $2 million in the latest digital imaging technology.
Kopytek is a full-service St. Louis-based printing, digital imaging, mailing and fulfillment company. Since 1986, the company has built a reputation in the metro area for its superior print quality, individualized customer service and fast turnaround time. Kopytek’s client base includes Fortune 500 companies as well as a vast array of St. Louis area businesses.
