Kopytek Inc. Acquires Customer Base of Westport Printing & Fulfillment
Published: Apr 21st, 2009
April 21, 2009: ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Kopytek Inc. has acquired the customers of Westport Printing & Fulfillment of Maryland Heights. Westport Printing has closed its facility at 62 Progress Parkway, and its management and customers have relocated to Kopytek’s headquarters at 9595 Dielman Rock Island in Olivette.
For the past 25 years, Westport Printing & Fulfillment has provided its customers consistent corporate branding, digital color, offset printing, direct mail, labeling, binding and fulfillment services. Larry Steinman, president of Westport Printing & Fulfillment, said merging with Kopytek allows him to focus entirely on sales and his customers’ printing needs.
John Peterson, president and CEO of Kopytek, said Westport Printing’s established reputation and dedicated customer service fit perfectly with Kopytek’s innovative, fast and flexible customer-focused business model.
“After 20-plus years of being friends and friendly competitors, we knew much about each other and knew we could work together well. We’re excited to welcome their clients. ” Peterson said. “Our production staff and high-speed digital and offset printing equipment will allow us to provide our new clients a wider range of printing and mailing solutions as well as excellent service.”
Kopytek Inc. was recently named one of the top 25 printing companies in the St. Louis area for a second year in a row by the St. Louis Business Journal. With 2008 revenue of $4.4 million, Kopytek’s business grew 10% from 2007 to 2008. At the end of 2008, Kopytek added two state-of-the-art folding units to its already extensive stable of high-speed digital and offset printing equipment, increasing the company’s capacity and offerings to its customers. The company expects to double its revenue in the next five years.
“Kopytek’s much larger assortment of equipment and its talented, dedicated professionals set it apart from most other printing companies,” said Steinman. “Work that most printers outsource to other companies is routinely manufactured on premises here.”
Kopytek is a full-service St. Louis-based printing, digital imaging, offset printing, mailing and fulfillment company. Since 1986, the company has built a reputation in the metro area for its superior print quality, individualized customer service and fast turnaround time. Kopytek’s client base includes Fortune 500 companies as well as a vast array of St. Louis area businesses. It was named one of the Top 100 printing companies in nation in 2008 by “Quick Printing,” a top industry trade magazine.
